Crufts 2025 - Birmingham
We started the big journey. We actually assumed that we had no chance of placing.
On the day of the show, we first walked the entire exhibition halls to ‘tire out’ the dog. Shortly before tipping over into ‘after tired comes stupid’ there was a longer waiting break. Kaleya behaved well, showed interest in all people and seemed stable. If only it wasn't for the judge later on...
It was time for the yearling class to start. My kangaroo practically hopped into the ring, but was quickly led on by Taranais. She stood perfectly the whole time and even let the judge touch her. Wow!!!
Completely unexpected and therefore all the more wonderful Kaleya reached the 5th place in the yearling class (VERY HIGHLY COMMENDED). This with a strong competition of 17 dogs. In total there were almost 230 Rhodesian Ridgebacks at the world's largest dog show Crufts in Birmingham.
We wish Kaleya continued success and fun in the show ring!
